LinQ Verification

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how LinQ Studios (“LinQ Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use LinQ Verification, our Roblox-to-Discord account linking service available through our website and Discord application.
LinQ Studios, based in the Czech Republic, is the data controller for LinQ Verification. This Policy applies to users in all countries, and we intend for our processing to comply with applicable European Union data protection law, including the GDPR.
This Policy applies to personal data processed through our website, our Discord application, account-linking flows, verification profiles, linked community perks, support requests, audit logs, and any other features that are part of LinQ Verification.
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect and store the following information:
We receive this information when you create a profile by signing in with Discord account using the identify scope only, and then connect your Roblox account using the openid and profile scopes only to complete verification.
We use your data to create and maintain your verification profile, confirm account ownership, link your Discord and Roblox accounts, assign or remove perks in participating Discord guilds, create or manage personal channels where applicable, and operate the service’s security and audit functions.
If you are verified, the Discord guilds that use our application may automatically grant perks such as roles, nicknames, personal channels, or similar features that are tied to Roblox community ranks, gamepasses, or badges.
For the personal data necessary to create your profile, link your accounts, and provide the service, our legal basis is the performance of a contract / contractual necessity under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
Where we process data for service administration, security, abuse prevention, or recordkeeping that is necessary to operate LinQ Verification, we do so as part of the same service relationship and in a manner consistent with the purpose for which the data was collected.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not permit third parties to use it for their own purposes.
We may share or expose limited information only as needed to operate LinQ Verification, including with the Discord guilds that are granted access to our application so they can apply verification-based perks. Such information only contains the date of verification and user identifiers which allow for granting perks through public resources.
We may also disclose personal data if required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority, or if necessary to protect our rights, users, or the integrity of the service.
We keep Roblox-related information until your Roblox account is unlinked or your profile is permanently deleted.
We keep Discord-related information until your profile is permanently deleted.
Some audit logs may be retained for security, abuse-prevention, or integrity purposes for as long as needed to operate the service, but they are designed to contain only a single identifier and no additional personal data.
You may permanently erase the collected data and delete your profile using the deletion button on your profile page. When this happens, any perks tied to the linked accounts will be reverted in participating guilds where technically possible.
You may also request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your data through our support Discord server.
To the extent applicable under the GDPR, you may also request restriction of processing or portability of your data.
LinQ Verification is available only to users who are at least 13 years of age. If we become aware that a user is underage, we may disable or delete the associated profile, or Roblox may block them from authorizing our app if aware of the user’s age incompliance.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
LinQ Studios administrators may issue permanent global bans to users who violate Roblox’s Terms of Use or Community Standards, Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or who seriously misuse LinQ Verification or participating guilds.
These enforcement decisions may be appealed through our support Discord server.
Although LinQ Studios is based in the Czech Republic and we apply EU data protection principles, users from other countries may also use LinQ Verification. By using the service, you understand that your data may be processed in jurisdictions necessary to operate the service and its hosting, authentication, and Discord-integrated features.
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised version and update the date at the top of the Policy.
